The thought behind Date North East was to develop a local dating and online community that would attract people from a smaller geographical area. With this in mind the possibilities of local events and social gatherings will hopefully be a more realistic achievement for people with busy life styles and commitments.
The business is owned and run by a group of North East partners, and was a grass root start up. An initial pilot site was launched in 2005 and the success of this, led to the current domain which went live in March 2006. We are constantly working on new additions and software improvements that will add to member enjoyment of the site, and as the membership grows we plan to offer exiting local events and a DNE social calendar.
Although we are essentially a date site! We hope that we can offer more than most of the competition and offer a refreshing change to the dating scene.
We have a discreet policy of "Yes we are all adults! but lets keep it clean" The chat rooms are for fun - and members can choose between - general and risca! With these options in place we hope that members in both camps will adhere to our requests, and allow people with different standards of conduct to both enjoy the site and its facilities as a whole. We are always keen to here from our members about there concerns - ideas and suggestions.
